39 weeks and STILL GOING :)

Well.. today we had our 39 week apt and little Taylor is being a stinker as it appears she wants to stay in mommy's belly for now... even though mommy is TOTALLY ready to POP! That is ok though.... as long as our little girl is getting stronger and staying healthy. My blood pressure was 134/96 (still a bit high) and my OB said that she does not want to go to my full due date next friday. So, the plan is to go in next Tues night to the hospital to stay overnight and they will try to thin my cervix with some medication. If the medication does not prove to be very effective, we will be induced Wed. am. for little Taylor to come out for good!!! My OB said that even though I am only dilated to 1cm still, she could come at any time so we will give her a chance to come out on her own before Tues. Her Big Birthday and our D-day is quickly approaching and we are somewhat relieved that we now have a plan and the end is near. We can not describe how excited we are to meet our little girl. Thanks for all your love and support!!!

38 weeks and DILATED!!!!

Today we had our 38 week checkup. All went well. She was being a little stinker again and got those darn hiccups as soon as they put those monitors on her for the non stress test. She did well though and was very hyper with a high heart rate in the 160's most of the time!
The doctor did an exam for the first time and we found out that I am 1 cm dilated and 25% effaced (my cervix is 25% thinned out and the baby can move her head that much farther down into my pelvis) She also said that she could feel her skull bones/head when doing the exam... wow!!! Josh and I were very excited to hear the good news and that things were progressing well. The doctor said that it is just a waiting game now and that baby girl hahn is just trying to figure out what day she wants her Birthday to fall on. For the most part, my blood pressure has been staying in the mid to high 130's /80's which is not bad, and I still only have a little trace of protein in my urine.. nothing to worry about. We will see what next week has in store for us!

Tues. check up

Things are going really well since I have been put on bedrest. At my last apt. my blood pressure went down significantly, and there was only a very very small trace of protein left in my urine. Baby girl had the hiccups for the first 15 min of the non stress test and my entire belly was jerking and shaking. All the nurses ended up coming in the room to laugh and get a kick out of her. She is already in the spotlight and showing her personality. Other than the hiccups that interfered with the test, she did really well and her heart rate was great. We got to do a quick little ultrasound to determine her positioning.... she is head and face down ready to come out soon enough...yay!!!! We have another apt. this Friday and we will keep you all posted! Hope she comes sooner than later because mama is ready!! Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. :)

Little scare... but almost there! Nearly 37wks

After getting to work today.. I just didn't feel well and I had a horrible headache. I took my blood pressure and it was 152/103... yikes! My OB told me to come in and get things checked out. Josh and I were a bit worried but everything is ok and baby hahn is perfectly content in her mommy's belly still. At the office, my blood pressure went down to 134/82. I was hooked up to a non stress test for 20 min with monitors showing her heart rate/rhythm and movements. She was showing off and moved around the entire time. Her heart beat was great and the test showed that she was doing really well .. what a relief. I am going to get another test Friday to re-eval . For now I am told to stay at home and off my feet at all times to ensure that my BP does not go back up that high again. We want her to stay in my belly and continue growing and getting stronger, so at this point my OB said she is not ready to deliver baby hahn quite yet and that she is doing great in the womb. She also said as long as I stay healthy and regulate my BP and swelling that I should go close to my due date at the end of July. We were so thankful to hear that she is ok. Keep thinking of us!

Today was our 36 week apt. Baby girl is still head down... good news that she is getting ready! She had a rapid heart rate today of 150 and was moving around like crazy. She kicked the doppler probe when my OB doc was trying to hear her heart beat :) My blood pressure was pretty high, which was a concern, so we both agreed it is time to stay off my feet and work less for these next couple of weeks to ensure that mommy and baby stay healthy. Only four more weeks to go!!!
